This newly published article Predicting Educational Risks Among Court-Involved Black Males:
Family, Peers, and Mental Health Issues in The Negro Educational Review uses data collected from the Global Risk Assessment Device (GRAD) to describe the different types of educational risks facing this sample of African American males. Results from data analysis provide support for the idea that the combination of disrupted family processes, delinquent peer associations, and mental health issues are associated with both negative in-class behavior and educational setbacks.
